"Guess the Bear's Name" - Competition Terms & Conditions
1. The Promoter
This competition ("Competition") is run by Liftability Ltd ("Liftability", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 03782380, whose registered office is at 89 Leigh Road, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 9DQ. Our showroom is at 16 Mitchell Point, Ensign Business Park, Hamble, Southampton, SO31 4RF.
2. How to Enter
2.1 Entry is open via (a) a paper entry slip completed at the Liftability stand, or (b) the online entry form at liftability.co.uk/competitions/guess-the-bears-name.
2.2 To enter, you must provide your first name, last name, email address, and your guess for the name of the Liftability mascot bear. A phone number may be provided but is optional.
2.3 One entry per person. If we identify multiple entries from the same person (by name, email address, or other reasonably matching details), we will count only the first entry received and disregard the rest.
2.4 Entries submitted by any method other than those set out in clause 2.1, or that are incomplete, illegible, or submitted after the closing date, will not be accepted.
2.5 It is your responsibility to ensure the contact details you provide are accurate and up to date. We are not responsible for entries or prize notifications lost, delayed, or misdirected as a result of details being incomplete or incorrect.
3. Eligibility
3.1 The Competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, except employees of Liftability Ltd, their families, agents, or anyone else professionally connected with the Competition.
3.2 By entering, you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements in this clause.
4. Free to Enter
There is no charge to enter this Competition and no purchase is necessary.
5. Competition Period
5.1 The Competition opened on 12th September 2026 00:01 and closes at 23:59 (UK time) on 13 September 2026 ("Closing Date"). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be counted, regardless of when they were sent.
6. The Prize
6.1 The prize is one (1) Fortnum & Mason hamper ("Prize"), as pictured/described on the Competition page, with an approximate retail value of £100.
6.2 There is one Prize available. The Prize is not transferable, is not redeemable for cash, in whole or in part, and no alternative will be offered, except at Liftability's discretion if circumstances beyond our reasonable control make it necessary to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
6.3 Liftability is not the manufacturer or seller of the Prize contents and gives no warranty in relation to them beyond those implied by law.
7. Winner Selection
7.1 Liftability has chosen a name for the mascot bear in advance of the Competition opening. This name is held confidentially by Liftability staff and is not disclosed to entrants before the winner is announced.
7.2 If one or more entrants correctly guess the bear's name (matched without regard to capitalisation, spacing, or punctuation) by the Closing Date, the winner will be selected by random draw from those correct entries, conducted by a member of Liftability staff.
7.3 If no entrant correctly guesses the bear's name by the Closing Date, Liftability will select the winning entry at its own reasonable discretion, based on which guess is judged closest or most fitting to the name chosen. This decision is final.
7.4 The draw/judging will take place within 14 days of the Closing Date.
8. Winner Notification
8.1 The winner will be notified by email and/or telephone using the contact details provided at entry, within 5 working days of selection.
8.2 The winner must respond to claim the Prize within 14 days of being notified. If we do not receive a response within this time, we reserve the right to withdraw the Prize from that entrant and select a replacement winner in accordance with clause 7.
8.3 The winner's first name and county/town (but no other personal details) may be published on the Liftability website and social media channels to announce the result, unless the winner objects, in which case we will refer to them anonymously (e.g. "our lucky winner").
9. Data Protection
9.1 Personal data collected through this Competition (name, email address, phone number if provided, and your guess) will be used by Liftability only to administer the Competition, contact the winner, and fulfil the Prize.
9.2 If you have separately and explicitly opted in to receive marketing communications from Liftability, we will also use your email address for that purpose, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Entering the Competition does not, by itself, opt you in to marketing.
9.3 Entrants' details will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
9.4 You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting admin@liftabilityltd.com. See our Privacy Policy for full details of your rights.
10. Liability
10.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, Liftability, its agents, or distributors will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising directly or indirectly as a result of entry into this Competition or acceptance of the Prize, except in respect of death or personal injury caused by Liftability's negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. General Conditions
11.1 Liftability reserves the right to amend these terms or, in exceptional circumstances, to cancel or suspend the Competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, without notice.
11.2 Liftability reserves the right to disqualify any entrant reasonably suspected of fraud, abuse of the entry process (including multiple or automated entries), or breach of these terms.
11.3 By entering, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
